The forest is a wonderful place...

There were tons of mushrooms in the woods this week.  They came in all different shapes, sizes and colors!









We made fairy houses today!







And we had tons of fun playing!

September 18

It was another fabulous day in the woods!  It's starting to feel like fall, with cool mornings and some colorful leaves.  Today we did woods' gifts at our sit spot groups, we found our 'woods names', and we pretended to be squirrels collecting our stashes of acorns and hiding them for later.  And of course, we PLAYED!

We had another great day in the woods.  We found our sit spots for the year, free played, learned the game camouflage and went on a scavenger hunt.  It was a blast!

First Woods Day 2019

We took our first trip into the woods, and it was wonderful!  We began our outdoor time in the field, and then ventured down the hill, across the bridges and into our outdoor classroom.  We pretended to be animals, we climbed, we found many creatures, we started building and we laughed a lot!  And of course, we started learning our woods expectations.  It's going to be a great school year outside!
