Whatever the Weather...

We faced our first RAINY day in the woods.  Despite the heavy rain, and wet clothes, we had fun and learned a lot about being outside while it poured.  Unfortunately due to the wet conditions, we could not take many photos.

We learned a new poem/chant about the weather...

Whether the weather is good,

or whether the weather is not.

Whether the weather is cold,

or whether the weather is hot.

No matter the weather,

we'll weather the weather,

whether we like it or not.

Little Workers

This week team work and cooperation shined bright, as students worked together on various jobs.

A Visitor in the Woods and Sit Spots

The Forest is a Wonderful Place

Our Year Long Adventure

This year the kindergarten students and staff of H.E.S have set out on an amazing adventure.  Our goal is to spend EVERY Wednesday in the woods.  This means that we will be outside learning and playing no matter the season or what the weather may bring...sunshine, rain, snow.  As long as it is safe for us to be out there, we will be!  We are calling this learning adventure "Wednesday in the Woods", and we hope that you will enjoy following our woodland journey.
